If I had to describe the type of jewelry I make I would say it is part mermaid, part cowgirl. It has always been my aim to create pieces of jewelry that are beautiful, feminine and unique, but also durable, substantial, and a little bit bad a$$! The Paniola (Hawaiian for "Cowgirl") Pearl & Sunrise Necklace is all those things!
Twenty-seven stunning iridescent Keshi Pearls in pink and purple hues are hand knotted around the bottom 2/3 of the necklace, with one large pearl at the center and a sweet sunrise shell beneath. This shell was found on Oahu and is in beautiful form, with lovely rides and classic ombre color pattern of white, pink and golden yellow.
The 18 inch necklace is created from a 6 ply hard twisted rope cord with easy to use shell toggle closure. Just slide the small pearl up and down to open and close the loop.
Mermaid meets cowgirl, mauka meets makai in this one of a kind handmade piece.
